I updated MailPoet today and the EMAILS section is now inaccessible. It just says:

“The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

    There are no instructions

    Can anyone advise?

    PHP version: 7.2.20
    MailPoet Free version: 3.34.0
    MailPoet Premium version: 3.0.61
    WordPress version: 5.2.2

Another update just became available. I installed it. The problem remains the same.

    MailPoet Free version: 3.34.1
    MailPoet Premium version: 3.0.61

I am experiencing the same problem.

The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

    hoping for a quick fix.

Experienced the same thing. Can’t create/edit or view any of the emails I’ve created over the last years. Help!!

Let me know if there is a fix!!

how can we go back to version 3.330?

    Hey @infoseeker123, @kepenner, and @robertburr,

We’re sorry about that. We had a minor bug on today’s release.

We just released a quick new version (3.34.2) to fix this.

Please update your plugin again and it should be working fine.

    Thank you!

I don’t call it a minor bug since it put five of my web sites in panic mode.

two subsequent updates seem to have fixed it – check your updates

    now i get this rror.

MailPoet Error: Unable to connect to the database (the database is unable to open a file or folder), the connection is likely not configured correctly. Please read our Knowledge Base article for steps how to resolve it.

I tired deleting the plug and re-installing it, but I get the same error.

This site is sitting on a lightSail instance at Amazon Web Services and I have no way to FTP over and change the files. I also have no tech support to ask them for help.

Any suggestions on a fix for this sudden new problem beyond the short Knowledge Base article?

Web site completely crashed after trying to fix this error. Using the info from the Knowledge Base article caused a hard crash. Backup took a while to install.

This thread should not be marked ‘resolved.’ It may be resolved for the original poster. But it’s not resolved for the rest of us. IN response to @wysija, I have the version you claimed would correct the issue installed. It is the version which completely disabled my admin interface. So you still have a problem. HOping that perhaps if I deleted this version and updated to the most recent version listed in the plugin repository it would fix things, I did this. I once again lost access to the backend.

Here is the specific error that MP is throwing as noted in my plugin list after I switched to recovery mode:

    “An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 346 of the file /var/www/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/lib/Models/Model.php. Error message: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘could not find driver’ in /var/www/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/lib/Models/Model.php:346 Stack trace: #0 /var/www/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/lib/Models/Setting.php(40): MailPoet\Models\Model::__callStatic(‘findMany’, Array) #1 /var/www/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/lib/Models/Setting.php(40): MailPoet\Models\Setting::findMany() #2 /var/www/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/lib/Settings/SettingsController.php(116): MailPoet\Models\Setting::getAll() #3 /var/www/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/lib/Settings/SettingsController.php(24): MailPoet\Settings\SettingsController->ensureLoaded() #4 /var/www/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/lib/Services/Bridge.php(66): MailPoet\Settings\SettingsController->get(‘premium.premium…’) #5 /var/www/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/wp-content/”

I have disabled the plugin till you fix this. At least now I have access to my backend. But now I have no way of notifying subscribers of new posts.

Don’t you guys test bug fixes before you roll them out?
