• I have a problem changing my header. My current theme that I’m using is: IMWB Sales Page Theme Right Sidebar 1 by Cory Miller. (my site is https://www.topfxsystems.com) The current header is one of those image ones that states “Your Name Goes Here” “Your Tagline Goes Here”. I custom designed my own header using Microsoft PowerPoint and I saved it in “paint” as a “png” and as “jpg” file after resizing to the proper size using Gadwin. I tried uploading this file to my images folder in my hosting account but it didn’t work. When I go into my Blue Host account this is what I these are the files that I currently see in my images folder:

    arrow.gif
    header.jpg
    header.psd
    rss.png
    Thumbs.db
    “topfxsystemsheader.png” my new header
    “topfxsystemsheader1.jpg” my new header

Am I supposed to upload these files to my images folder and erase the original ones? I’m not too good with technical stuff and I just finished a very basic knowledge of wordpress. I would really appreciate a step by step help with this problem as I’ve spent a few hours trying to figure out how to change this properly. Thank you.

  • If your header is currently displaying a pixel graphic, as you say, it should be as simple as replacing that image in the images directory with your new custom image. Make sure to use the same exact file name, resolution and format of the original image. That way the template code will just pick your new image in place of the old.

There are a couple of places you could look for the code that is creating the header. Should be in the header.php, or in the style.css.
