• I suddenly cannot login to my wordpress admin which is a bit of an issue as I need to make some site changes! I haven’t done anything differently recently. A few weeks ago I installed recaptcha so wonder if its something to do with that ut I have successfully logged in lots since doing that.
    The message I get is in the recaptcha box and says ‘ERROR for site owner: Invalid key type’
    can anyone advise (in simple terms please as I am far from technical! I learnt how to build and maintain our site myself but no nothing about programming and tech!)

    Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    thank you for the advise. I am a but scared of resetting the plugins in case i cause the whole site to mess up! and then I can’t fix it!
    maybe I need to find someone who knows what they are doing to fix it!
