    HI Thomas,

Thank you for your plug in!
My site is : https://www.wodekitchen.com, I got approved by AdSense more than 1 week ago and my one ads showed right away on the mobile version but not a single one shows up on the desk top yet. Can you check my site if the set is done correctly?
Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi WodeKitchen,

    thanks for reaching out.

Congrats to your verified AdSense account.

It is normal for Auto ads to show up on mobile first. It might take a while to show them on desktop or they might even never show up there.

You can make sure that ads show up on desktop by placing AdSense manually.

I see that you actually did that with the Auto ads code in your sidebar. That code does not place ads where you put it so you can remove it and use an ad like in the linked tutorial.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

You are right, there are 2 ads showing on my desk top now.
As for the sidebar, I still see “Ads” on every page but I have no idea why it shows like that, thought the sidebar supposed to be filled with ads? I can’t remember how did I manually place the Auto codes in my sidebar, can you please tell me how to remove it?

Thank you so much for your time.

    Hi wodekitchen,

    thanks for your feedback.

The ad in the sidebar looks like it was added manually and not through Advanced Ads. Please go to Appearance > Widgets and look for an HTML widget with the “Ads” headline. You can remove it since it contains the Auto ads code that does not belong in a sidebar. Or you replace it with a manually created AdSense ad unit.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

HI Thomas, I Have just removed the code.
I still have a question about the sidebar. I have seen ads started showing on the home page, it is possible that ads will also show in the sidebar and post pages, right? If they never show up, then I can add auto ads manually. Is that right?

    Thank you

    Hi wodekitchen,

    > I have seen ads started showing on the home page, it is possible that ads will also show in the sidebar and post pages, right?

Yes, it is possible. Auto ads are fully automatic. They place ads wherever AdSense sees fit.

    > If they never show up, then I can add auto ads manually. Is that right?

Not exactly. Auto ads are not placed manually. You only place the Auto ads code once in the header of your site. Theoretically, you can place that code in your sidebar, but that would not mean that ads will also show there.

Placing AdSense ads manually means that you go do your AdSense account, create a new ad and get a specific code for that ad, which you then place where this ad should show up. This is explained in detail here.

Please let me know if you need anything else.
