How do I remove the word “Category” on Category pages

  • I recently used a plugin to remove the word “Category” from my Page titles (Plugin: Remove Category Word From Title). But Wordfence Security is telling me that the plugin is “Abandoned” and that it’s not safe to keep it. So I deleted it. I couldn’t find an alternative plugin so now I’m right back at square one.

    Right now the title on my category pages read, for example, “Category: Decor”. How do I remove the word “Category” leaving only the title “Decor”?

    Tried searching for solutions online but most of them were either theme-specific or required messing with the editor and I’m scared to touch that stuff, lol.

    Is there a CSS code for this or can anyone suggest another plugin? Help!
