Missing blog tags on new tweets

    I installed the Wp to Twitter plugin and it seems to be working find for updating posts. However, when making a tweet about a NEW post the plugin does not include the tags that have been associated with the post. The templates for NEW and UPDATE posts are below.

    New: #title# [#url#] #tags#
    Updated: #title# [#url#] #tags#

    So, the posting for Update posts works just fine and includes all the tags that were created for the WP post. But when posting a tweet about a New post the plugin only posts the title and url, and the tags list is empty.
    What could be going on? There is nothing in the settings that looks like it can create this problem and it is especially baffling that it works fine for Update posts but not for New posts.

    At a guess, you’re using the Gutenberg editor. If so, what you probably need to do is add the tags, save your post as a draft, and then publish it.
