    Hi there,

    This is a great plugin, so thank you for your contribution.

    I have just one problem. I want the thumbnail image shown before the video plays to use the full size image, but it looks like the system is choosing to display the “medium” sized image.

    Because my video is full width, it’s really stretching the image making it look pixelated.

    Is there a setting somewhere I have missed to select the image size used? Why is the system choosing the medium sized image?

    Thanks

    OK, I think I figured it out.

    There is a setting for Video Gallery: Thumbnail Width

    Did that actually change anything? If you’re not using the video gallery function, I don’t think that setting should fix your problem.

    This is a bandwidth-saving feature from the days before responsive video (this plugin started eight years ago) and the plugin assumes that it knows how big your video will be on the page and that it won’t get any bigger. I’m going to revisit that assumption in a future release, but for now I would try changing the default video player dimensions to something larger. At least as big as the “medium” size of your theme’s image.

    Another suggestion: on mobile, the thumbnail width is not responsive. I like to use 640px thumbs, so I ended up on line 2374 of your plugin and added a max-width: 100%;

    I’m not sure this is the best solution, but would be nice to have!

    I’ll work on that. Probably better to do it in the CSS file rather than inline. This is for video gallery thumbnails, correct?

    Yep!
