Early bird tickets

    I want to offer early bird tickets to offer a small discount to people to buy their tickets at least a week before the event date. I want the early bird option to either disable or disappear 1 week before the event starts so that after that point people have to pay the standard price. Is this possible with EME?

    I already use a discount code for students, and want students to get an extra discount on top of the early bird and standard ticket prices. Will this be possible?

    You can apply multiple discounts to an event, just put the discounts you want to use together in a discount group.
    Some discounts don’t even need a discount placeholder (#_DISCOUNT): if you want you can apply a discount based on the discount expiration date (and leave the “coupon code” empty, as indicated when creating a discount). That has been created just for early bird discounts.

    That’s great, but it looks like I need to set an actual date for each event, which would require making a new discount and discount group for each event.

    I have a lot of events and would like to have an early bird discount that expires a certain number of days before the event start date.

    Is there a way to create an early bird discount that I could apply to any event which would expire a set number of days before an event starts?

    Currently only possible by using the “code” discount type and coding it up yourself.

    Thanks for the tip, Franky. I’m not good at coding so I’d prefer to stick with the functionality available. I’ll just create a separate discount and discount group for every event.

    Is there any possibility to add this feature in a future release?
