New Apple Categories not appearing

    Apple is rolling out “History” as a top level category. It isnt appearing right now on the plugin. Is there a way to directly add that tag to ky feed or do I need to wait for an update?

    Hello @inevitability,

    There will be updates to PowerPress regarding this coming soon.

    The new categories will not be made available on Apple podcasts until sometime this August. Due to how they are doing the roll out, we will have multiple releases of PowerPress to address the Apple time table.

    Please keep an eye on the news in PowerPress’s main tab for announcements on exact release dates. In the mean time, the next update to PowerPress will allow you to pre-select the new categories but they will not be included into the feed until we get the green light from Apple.

    Also keep in mind that we are adding special logic to deal with Google Podcasts categories, which use the older top level Apple categories.
