Reversing Order of Gallery Images

  • Before I updated WordPress to version 5.2.2 I was able to reverse the order of the images in a gallery, but now I want to add a few galleries in chronological order, but they uploaded from the computer backwards, and consequently made the gallery backwards.
    How can I reverse the order?

    Presumably you used the new block editor’s gallery feature which lacks the reverse order button that the old gallery feature had. Your options are: drag/drop the images in the gallery editor; remove the current gallery and define a new one; manually edit the image ID order in the block editor’s code view.
