Hello. I am using the Spacious theme, and have displayed an image slider on my home page. When inserting an image onto a page, WordPress default behavior is to add src and srcset attributes to the tag (screenshot). This helps ensures that the page does not waste resources downloading an unnecessarily large image. But the images in my home page slider do not possess these attributes (screenshot). Why is that and how can I resolve it?

OK thanks. To give some more reason why I’d like this issue resolved, Google’s PageSpeed Insights reports my slider image as not being scaled properly at mobile screen widths (screenshot). I believe the reason is because the tag is missing the src and srcset attributes.

@rajeshpoudel Hello. I see that theme versions 1.6.4 and 1.6.5 were released on 11/12 July. Was this fix part of either of those updates?

You can check the changelog of the theme from the link below:

The issue mentioned above hasn’t been fixed in these releases.
