Setup multiple themes for preview

  • Looking for advice and recommendations on setting up different WordPress themes for preview?
    My thought is to make a number of folders and install WordPress in each folder, then I can link to a specific child theme where it can be viewed. Just like a demo site but without the user being able to “try” making changes.
    Will having many WordPress installations within a domain have a negative impact on the domain?

  • I would not do that. I have in the past used a theme switcher plugin that has a selection box on the front end, or passes a parameter for theme name, much like the WP Previewer does.

    Thank you Joy, I will look at any available plugins. The key will be if I can have a user look at the theme, don’t want to switch our theme in the process. Again, thanks
