After updating to Genesis 3.0, the Genesis Featured Page Advanced widget is no longer an available widget at Appearance > Widgets. Any active Featured Page Advanced widgets are deleted after updating.

    Hi Kate,

Version 1.9.7 correct the conflict with Genesis 3.0. All your widgets should appear now.

    Thanks,
    Nick

@ndiego Working great now. Thank you SO much for your super quick help with this!

    For your information:
My widgets (GFPA) have disappeared and do not come back after update or after reverting to older version…
Somehow the combination WP update Genesis Update and GFPA update messes things up.
Had to restore a backup from before the updates…

Further testing reveals that problem are also related to Genesis 3.0
On a site based on Infinity Pro – WordPress 5.2.2 when updating to Genesis 3.0 the background images on the frontpage and the GFPA widgets stop showing.

    Hi Webtaurus,

I just tested 1.9.7 of this plugin with the Infinity Pro theme and Genesis 3.0 and the widgets are appearing for me. I have heard rumors of 3.0 causing lots of theme related issues, especially if any customization have been made to the theme files, so not sure if this is related. Can you tell me exactly where you have the Genesis Featured Page Advance widgets placed (the widget areas), and I will make sure I am testing your similar setup. Right now, I have just tested in the Primary Sidebar.

    Thanks,
    Nick

Thanks Nick, the updates for GFPA and Genesis fixed things. As did you suggestion on Slack to make sure that the theme name in function.php and style.css match. Just a few sites to fix sofar… Thanks again for the quick reactions.
