    I noticed that since the update to WP Job Manager 1.33.2 keywords entered in search field do not return coherent results. When I type “Seattle” in the search field I get dozens of occurrences that have nothing to do with Seattle.

    I downgraded plugin to 1.32.3 and problem was solved.

    Hi Richard,

    Yes, my website is running the latest version of Listable. WP Job Manager 1.32.3 works flawlessly and returns accurate search results. I’ll be using this version until the bug is fixed.

    @nikkoboy hmm, well, this is the first I see this, so I can’t say that I know what bug it actually is, and therefore, how it could be fixed. I don’t have any similar reports. Out of curiosity, can you try with a default WordPress theme, to see if that changes anything? I suggest you do this on a staging copy of the site. Many hosts provide a staging service, where you can do testing without affecting the live site. You can ask your host about this. If they don’t give you a staging site, you could try WP Staging or Duplicator:

    Hi @richardmtl thanks for getting back to me. I reached out to Listable to let them know about this issue. They might want to consider adding compatibility with WP Job Manager to 1.33.2 to their next theme update. In the meantime I’ll continue using WP Job Manager 1.32.3 which works with Listable.

    If that may be of any help, can I send you the url to the staging area of my website which runs WP Job Manager 1.33.2 with the Listable theme? I’d rather send you the url in a private message if that’s possible.

    Hi @richardmtl ,

    I noticed that since updating WP Job Manager to 1.33.3 the search by regions (ex: selecting a region from a dropdown list) is now working flawlessly.

    However, the search by keywords still returns incoherent results. Whenever I’d type a keyword in the search window, the page would reload with the full list of listings.

    Last bug free version is WP Job Manager 1.32.3.

    Do you mean on https://www.fleamapket.com/listings/ ? It worked for me. Did you downgrade your WPJM version? Do you have any other news from the Listable authors? We don’t have any other reports of similar behaviour, so I still presume that this is happening to you because of your theme or one of your plugins.

    @richardmtl I meant https://fleamapket.staging.wpengine.com which runs WP Job Manager 1.33.3 . I just did a search for “Boston”, and it returned me two accurate results for Boston. However, when I tried a search for “Paris, “London”, and “Berlin”, it kept returning the same previous two results for “Boston”. That’s weird.

    https://www.fleamapket.com/listings/ is working just fine as it runs WP Job Manager 1.32.3

    Thanks, I’m able to reproduce the behaviour you describe. However, I still suspect that the problem is at its root, a theme issue. You didn’t answer my question of “Do you have any other news from the Listable authors?”.

    FYI, this is the reply I got from Listable: “Now, I’ve checked your two websites and I can see what you mean. Now, I already added this issue to our to do list and hopefully our developers will fix it until the next update. Thank you for pointing that to us!”
