• Hi

I have some active plugins on my blog. Now I want to protect just one plugin page in the dashboard. How can I do it without protecting “wp-admin” folder and locking whole dashboard?

    thanks

  • Admin pages are controlled by roles and permissions. If you’re talking about a plugin that you’ve installed, you probably don’t have much control over that. If its one that you’ve made yourself you can set the permissions high enough so that only the correct roles can access the page.

    Thanks @a2hostingrj

I tried this plugin but it can not password protect another plugin page in wordpress dashboard.

    Thanks @catacaustic

I know that. But I want to protect a plugin page by password even for administrator role in search for more security.

If you’re not going to use the built-in security, then you can add yur own password protection in. There won’t be any plugins for that now – as everything in the admin area is made with roles and permissions.

You could always set upa new user type that has everything that an administrator has, plus the permission that allows your plugins action. That’s the way that I’d go about it.
