getting fatal errors on all new plugins

    I tried a new plugin yesterday and got a fatal error trying to activate so I thought it was the plugin’s fault.

    Today I tried two more (Stats & Sociable) and both activated, but gave fatal errors trying to use them, so I think it’s a problem on my end. The errors always take the form of:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_remote_get() in /homepages/6/d89700681/htdocs/blog/wp-content/plugins/stats.php on line 210

    Or something similar. Did I somehow FUBAR my WP settings or installation recently?
