    Hi all –

Created my first ad with Advanced Ads, via a code from Google AdSense, and all of a sudden I have ads in other parts of my blog where I don’t want them. How do I remove them? Is it something in the Adsense code? I’d like more control over where my ads go, but I don’t want to add more until I get this figured out..

    Thanks in advance

    Hi whisksandwildflowers,

    thanks for reaching out.

Your site uses the Google Auto ads tag, which is also the Google AdSense verification code. This allows AdSense to place ads wherever they see fit.

You can remove that code once AdSense verified your site or disable Auto ads in your AdSense account.

I found the Auto ads code twice on your site, once added by an option in the Genesis theme, once added through another means, maybe Advanced Ads.

After you disabled Auto ads you can start added ad units manually. See https://wpadvancedads.com/place-adsense-ad-unit-manually/ for detailed instructions on how to do that.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Thomas
