Installed Imagify. One image optimized. Then tried several. While a spinning clock is against each image for several minutes, none of the images to optimize are optimized. The server has a PHP routine hogging 1 processor along with higher MySQL usage. This never seems to end, server was left overnight.

    Running on Centos 7.6
The version of WordPress is 4.9.10.

If I optimize a page view Imagify’s website, all works fine.

Any thoughts or dependencies Imagify requires to work correctly?

    Thanks.

I also get the following error from Apache.

[authz_host:warn] [pid 28720:tid 47425943320320] [client ::1:55206] AH10121: authz_host authorize: ignoring comment in ‘Require host localhost

Presume Imagify needs write access to certain directories?

    Hey @reecejames

Sorry to hear about the issue.

The initial issue you reported could be caused by reduced HeartBeat functionality in your WP backend. This is usually done via WP Rocket plugin. If you use it (or any other tool for reducing Heartbeat activity in the backend), could you try to deactivate it and test again?

Imagify needs permission to write to wp-content/uploads folder – the error from your log seems to be related to your host. It would be great to get their feedback about this and see what could be the problem.

We are happy to provide further help so don’t hesitate to contact us.

    Best Regards

    Thanks for your reply.

I do not use WP-Rocket currently.

I have a different folder for the uploads. What user/authority is Imagify running under/need that needs to have write access assigned?

    Thanks.

Same here. “Optimizing…” infinity loading. Bulk optimization is not working. Tried other image optimizators and they are working just fine.

As above, sorry it doesn’t fix the issue.

Can you advise/answer the previous question:

I have a different folder for the uploads. What user/authority is Imagify running under/need that needs to have write access assigned?

    Thank you.

I have the same problem. Receive following error:

Our server returned an error (0 – Operation timed out after 45000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received).

    wp-rocket is deactivated.

I have the same problems. I fade up from this cycle of errors. Now when I thought I finally completed my website then I faced website loading problems so I thought to use imagify but it not only stay processing, it even broke my website images.
Who gone compansate my time and efforts for the months

The funny thing is, approx. 2 days later, without any changes on server or WordPress settings, it works as it should. Look like a temporary feature.
