I have been trying to remove the categories from the shop/directory listings on WooCommerce.

When you click on the link, you will see a product name – above that it says, Just Dropped, Art, Dining, etc. all of which are categories for our shop.

I see no way of removing this.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

It looks like you have two menus enabled. Does your theme have a sub navigation in its menu area? Also, I see you’re using a premium theme. You are better off getting in touch with the author and seeking advice.

Premium themes are not supported in this forum.

Hi Stef – thanks for the prompt response. I have contacted the support team on our template but they’re off for the weekend so was looking for some assistance to keep me going over the weekend.

There appears to be no sub-navigation in the menu area. There are toggles in the template settings to disable showing categories. I have set these to “no” by they’re still displaying.

    Will keep dabbling.

I see what it is. For me, I’m on a laptop. So your sticky menu is showing as well as your main menu. If I zoom out it disappears. So there’s something a bit off with the CSS.

Not sure if I follow – I just have a main menu enabled (the one across the top), which, I agree, needs fixing when you zoom out because it runs into the image below.

    Is that the sticky menu?

    Yeah the top one here

Is your sticky menu. the bottom one is your main nav. So on my laptop it’s appearing too early. That’s usually because a theme’s settings for how wide the site should be are usually past 1340px. I have the same issue on my sites sometimes. Sometimes the mobile menu shows, sometimes it doesn’t.

Those are the links your talking about right?

That’s crazy – I’ll have to look into this issue, as I didn’t even realise that was happening. Thanks for sharing. The site’s set to a width of 1200px (will check). Will making that smaller ease the issue?

My issue, however, is removing the items (categories) I’ve highlighted in blue.

Ah, that may be a setting too in your theme. Seek out the theme authors docs to review settings.

However, to remove that for now you can just CSS it out.

    .mkdf-pl-category{display:none !important;}
