Shortcode works on mobile but video doesn’t show on desktop for some reason

  • Hi, I installed WP Youtube Lyte. The website I’m reffering to is using Elementor Page Builder.

    I inserted the video with the help of Lyte widget. It looks like the video is correctly showing on mobile phones but doesn’t show up on desktop.

    Any ideas what might cause this problem?

    Thanks for your superfast response. I was able to figure it out. Now the only thing is I can’t make it look nice on phone and I am not able to center it on desktop.

    But I guess that’s another problem and not about WP Youtube Lyte

    first of all; in the future please start a new topic Nathan, even if you find one that *seems* the same as you’s.

    regarding LYTE not working; it looks like the video URL is added in a custom field and/ or that the page is rendered without being filtered by the_content, so LYTE is not active on that by default, you’ll need some glue code to have LYTE active on it.

    ok – works on desktop but not mobile… so i’m guessing the_content issue causing it is only present of affect on mobile. Sorry – will start a new thread – next time. thanks!

    no; if it works on desktop then the problem is not with the_content, but the thing is it didn’t work for me on desktop either when I tried yesterday, I just saw the youtube URL?
