Kirki loading Google fonts from old domain after migration

    Hi there,

    I’m hoping you can help me. I’m trying to migrate my site over to a new domain and everything is working well (using All in One WP Migration plugin). My only problem is that Kirki is still loading my google font choices from the old domain after the move. I’ve tried deactivating/activating Kirki, uninstalling/installing Kirki, deactivating and flushing all caches, and deleting all transients but nothing seems to work. I also reset all my font choices to san-serif and that fixes the problem, however, when I choose my google fonts again, it still defaults back to the old domain. The only thing that works is deactivating Kirki. When I do this, my new site retains my google font choices and loads them from the correct domain. However, if I activate Kirki everything defaults back to my old domain again.

    My site URL is the correct domain and everything else is linking to the new domain except the google fonts. Have you ever seen something like this before? Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Fixed in v3.0.41.
    If this still occurs try resetting your site’s transients again.
    Also make sure that in Dashboard > Settings > General, both the “WordPress Address” and “Site Address” settings are set correctly, and they both use the correct protocol (http/https)

    I have the same problem. Updating the plugin did not help. Tell me, please, what else can be done to solve this error? it is important!

    P.S.
    I tried to change the addresses in the database, but after that the theme settings are destroyed.

    Same happening here!

    This issue cant be fixed!

    Tried:
    Resaving urls
    Plugin update velvet urls
    Save another font and going back to original.

    Nothing works, it seems its hardcoded somethere in database

    Hi there, the latest version of Kirki fixes this, but also make sure you clear all your caches. In my case, I had to purge my W3TC to remove to reset the font links.

    Im sory but im certain is not solved in my case.

    I cleared cache from everywhare (wprocket), also from hosting, etc etc, deactivate plugins, etc.

    This broken links are in the div kirki-inline-styles

    Any other suggestion to solve this? Can i give you access??

    Have you tried uninstalling Kirki, then refresh cache, then install new kirki and refresh cache again.

    I just did, still not working…
    Any suggestions for fixing it manually? Im a developer.

    FYI is a multisite and the issue is in the subsites

    @fguespe The Kirki caches only last 24 hours, so if that was the problem it would have already been resolved.
    Some notes:
    This was fixed in v3.0.41. However, if a theme used on subsites has Kirki embedded, and the embedded version is older than 3.0.41, then perhaps that version is getting loaded on that subsite instead of the latest one.
    Is the plugin network-activated? If it is, then it should be OK for all your subsites. If you’re still having an issue with this, try going to a subsite, then install a plugin like Transients Manager and delete ALL transients. If it is indeed a cache issue with Kirki then that should fix it.

    Sory for the bad news, but still not getting to solve this!

    Deleted al transients, also try to edit them replacing the url, but still it re-generates a transient with the previous domain!!

    For example

    I can assign any other font and generates the transient ok, but if i put again, Monsterrat, which was the font used in previous domain, it uses old domain, only for this font.

    Hi, unfortunately I’m facing the same issue after changing the url of my website. Your previous suggestions do not solve the problem. I’d really appreciate a bug fix or more information on how to change the hardcoded urls manually.

    It is now possible to reset Kirki google-font caches by visiting {site-url}/?action=kirki-reset-cache

    You must be using the latest plugin version.

    Checkout the main nav div, which is work sans, doesnt work. Im forced to used unwanted fonts in all my websites because of this bug

    Pleae let me know if you need my login or something, this is high priority for my business
