Social icons on homepage showing as squares

  • Hi, I’ve installed Readline and the social icons are displaying as squares in the search bar and footer. I’ve searched the forum and tried a few people’s advice but nothing has worked so far. Please help, this theme is the best fit for my blog so far, I really love it, but the social icons really need to be fixed! Thank you.

    Update: I installed a plugin called Better Font Awesome and it fixed the issue on the desktop site, but not on the mobile site. On my phone the icons are still displaying as squares.

    Have you tried clearing cache for the site? It shows squares on home for me, but works on all single articles – so it should be a cache issue.

    As for your phone, you may need to clear data history if you use for example Chrome, for it to refresh properly.

    I would also try to disable the font awesome plugin as the theme already loads font awesome. May cause strange issues loading different versions of it.
