friendly urls when spidering unfriendly urls on site

Hi,

I made the mistake of creating the site without initially customizing my permalinks setting, thus all of my pages urls have numbers and symbols in them which make them unfriendly urls when submitting to socialbookmarking sites through socialbot.

I customized the permalinks with the following in the customized tab: /%postname%/. This has worked on other websites and i see that it worked on this site too when i spidered the site in socialbot – i had friendly urls for my pages.

Those same friendly urls do not come up when you go to my site though. when the site is spidered you see friendly urls but when you go to the site you see unfriendly urls. How do i get friendly urls on the pages of my site? as stated i’ve already customized the permalinks and have rebuilt my sitemap after customizing the permalinks.
