Weird problem with images with identical file names

Is there perhaps a way that I can rename the file during upload?

So when I have an image that I upload called

1.jpg

and another image called 1.jpg that I upload, I end up with a single image:

https://storage.googleapis.com/stateless-www-uchuntingpropert/2019/05/1.jpg

whereas WordPress with a local file system would rename images like a file name 23.jpg:

https://www.domainname.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/23-15.jpg

How can I solve this issue?

Similar issue. I had a user upload a file named “Capture-29.jpg” several times. When we access the file via URL, it serves an older “Hyundai-pods.jpg” in its place, while showing the correct “Capture-29.jpg” URL in the address bar.

Enable the cache-busting feature to resolve this issue.

Prepends a random set of numbers and letters to the filename. This is useful for preventing caching issues when uploading files that have the same filename.

Thanks for the suggestion but I already had that turned on in wp-config with

define(‘WP_STATELESS_MEDIA_CACHE_BUSTING’, true );

Thanks as well, I already have cache-busting enabled though, as I’m running in stateless mode.
