Upgraded to 2.8 can’t see website

    I followed the instructions to upload but now can’t see website online

    I can login, see all plugins, themes pages etc but when I go to ‘ preview ‘ a page, it just shows up blank.
    this is what I get as the URL: https://eczematreatmentchildren.com/hp_wordpress/

    I also can’t do a backup now as it says I don’t have the authority to do so.

    Not sure what I’ve overided here, maybe MySQL or something.
    I don’t want to mess things up more as I still have my pages intact still

    Also, I have deactivated my plugins, NOW, did not do it before doing the update.

    Saw something with Config.php file to do with CHMOD so it was all changed so executable for now but did not help at all.

    if you deactivated all plugins – try adding this line to your wp-config.php

    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M');

    I just had this exact problem after manually installing 2.8. After much fiddling around I found that my index.php file had been overwritten with a blank one somehow (during the DB upgrade???)

    I just recopied index.php from the wordpress archive back to my site and everything started working again.

    I was away from my computer.

    It ended up being the index.php that had to be replaced
