  • Hello @sturiale,

    Thank you for reaching out to us!
    I am not completely sure I understand what you’d like to achieve to please bear with me.
    Could you please explain a bit more? Maybe a couple of screenshots and your website’s url would help me understand better.

    Thank you,
    Mihaela

    Update:
    Now, I’ve discovered that the strong testimonial plugin contact-form, generates posts, that have the admin user as Author. I wanted to know, if possible, how can I generate posts that have another user as author?
    Thank you

    Hello @sturiale,

    Thank you for explaining!
    Yes, this is possible but only with one of our premium extensions: Custom Properties which is available with a Plus plan.

    After you install that extension you will have the option to edit a testimonial and assign it to whichever author you want. Is this what you needed?

    Or are you looking to set a default author and assign automatically all testimonials to that user?

    Thank you,
    Mihaela

    I would like to hide the author part. Honestly doesn’t make sense to me. If you are showing someone’s review and it’s their heading it should be their name and not a WordPress user anyhow!

    Patient leaves testimonial for doctor
    Doctor approves it

    Visitor sees the review and clicks on it to find the heading (which is positive) is by the WordPress user or admin and not the patient. That makes absolutely no sense to me.

    How could we hide the by (default WordPress user or any user). No need to even change it. Just hide it OR replace with the actual person who submitted it.

    Hello @brandyounet,

    Can you please send me your testimonial’s url so I can take a look? I might be able to send you a code to hide it.

    All the best,
    Mihaela

    Wow! Appreciate the quick response. I had imagined to wait a week – so thanks for replying so quickly.

    I have one method of solution which is via my theme settings but it removes it globally for all posts not just for your testimonials so I wanted to avoid having to do that.

    Thank you, @brandyounet!
    To hide that only on your testimonial page please add this code in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:

    .single-wpm-testimonial .post-meta {
        display: none;
    }

    This will do it!

    All the best,
    Mihaela
