Sharing User Tables in WordPress 2.8.2?

    Hey everyone!

    So per THIS THREAD’S instructions, I configured both my config.php and capabilities.php pages for my secondary WP installation that’s supposed to share the same userbase as my primary installation.

    … But I’m getting a permissions denied error when attempting to log in with my primary site credentials.

    It would seem my secondary site’s userbase IS linked to my primary site’s, but the permissions won’t validate.

    Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?

    Is this issue coming about because of the WP 2.8.2 build and some configuration changes perhaps?

    I HAVE been able to share userbases before by linking a bbPress install with my main WP install, but the process for bbPress userbase sharing was a bit different than the instructions given in the thread I linked to.

    Oh good %$#@in’ grief.

    Resolved the issue!

    The technique described in the thread I linked to DOES STILL WORK.

    I recently changed SSH and FTP clients and the dumb thing at some point decided that it wouldn’t upload and update the most current version of the modified file.
