• Long time user of iTSec free and iTSec Pro. Having a challenge with the Notification Center.

First option: says to leave email blank to use the WP default email, or enter one. I’ve done both, set notifications to be sent all Administrators or just one name (my user.)

Keeps logging errors and Notification Center is a yellow box on the panel. Error states at least one email Logged errors all say the same error:
Notification Center Error Sending File Change Failed

    Viewing the error detail:

    Module Notification Center
    Type Error
    Description Sending Notification Failed
    Notification File Change
Error You must provide at least one recipient email address.
    Timestamp 2019-05-17 08:31:27
    Host 192.145.236.93
    User
    URL WP-Cron Scheduled Task

Nothing I try seems to work.

  • Changing the Default Recipients field value won’t have any effect if the File Change module Recipient field is set to Custom

To prevent any confusion, I’m not iThemes.

Hi hi, this one just bit me in my a.. (excuse my language).

Actually reproduced your issue. Resolved it by making sure there was a recipient selected. Still yellow Notification Center tile and yup same error still there inside the module. Hmm. So waited for the next File Change scan, which send the email just fine. Yet, still yellow Notification Center tile and sure enough same error showing up inside the module !! Grrrrr

Then suddenly noticed that tiny dismiss-notice icon (x) on the far right of the error (That wasn’t there before, was it … oh yes it was). Clicked on it and yup now the error is gone and the Notification Center tile is no longer yellow.

Waited for the next File Change scan, which send the email successfully and yup all bright and shiny. Notification Center tile not turning yellow.

Never underestimate the power of a dismiss-notice icon ??
