Suddenly cannot revise any listings

I think this has been since the last update as i created one of my listings in April with no problems and now i am getting the above errors. I updated last week

I have no duplicate variation labels and no variation specifics mismatch as far as I can tell. And as I stated this listing was fine in April

This is usually caused when you modify the variation specifics from their original name(s) or add new ones.

The quick fix is to end the listings and relist them. I would completely understand if you don’t want to do that though due to sales history.

eBay throws these types of errors when variation specifics have been changed and or mismatch what they were before.

Yes I know but that hasnt happened. We only listed about 30 items last month and everything was fine. I have checked and there isnt any duplicate variation labels

I will tell you how this started

I noticed an error on my t-shirts that said that colour was missing from the item specifics. I can only assume that this is a change in ebays rules. I went to my profile and noticed that under colour in Item Specifics it had a star (required), so I checked the attributes and choose -TShirt colour. The error then went away, but as had change my profile it was saying i needed to update my products. Thats is when the errors started. I cannot possibly end all of my listings and relist. I have about 500

I have however, very recently used a plugin for image attributes and added small images of the colour swatches so they appear better in woo. I added images to the t-Shirt Colour as mentioned above and this is the same attribute as used in the profile for image attribute on the lefthnd side

I fixed the problem. It was asking me for colour as an item specif and I choose TShirt Colour and broke it. If I clear this from the profile it now works. odd as its supposed to be required

Ah, yes that would make sense and we mentioned in the ticket you sent to us that the “Colour” item specific would be the issue causing your problems of course and if it is required by eBay then the only solution would be to end and re-list.

But I find it odd that it showed required when it isn’t required, sounds like it was a mistake on eBay’s part.
