User friendly profile slugs – NO /?uid=username

Changing URL pattern?needs to be?planned?very carefully and this is still in development pipeline. I hope you can understand that changing URL pattern with a?code update will also lead to a change in URLs on existing live sites that are already using this ProfileGrid extension.?

Our team will?definitely be working on this,?but we can’t give any timeline yet for implementation.

Thanks for your reply. I guess this is definitely something that you should’ve thought through right from the very beginning.

example.com/profile/?uid=username is not very nice, so until that is fixed, unfortunately I have no other option than to stay with the plugin I’m currently with.

I never quite understood what your user friendly username add-on actually does, but maybe you can re-develop this add-on, so it actually changes the slug and gets rid off the ugly /?uid=

This way it would be an addon, so it is optional to use for the established live sites ..

Also take a note that I first raised this issue about a year ago where the reply was exactly the same as above, so to be honest with you I’m not really expecting anything to change any time soon .. but It would be good if you actually take it to heart and don’t just give me a generic answer.

I have purchased your Premium + package last year. But the only reason I’m not using it is the ugly slugs unfortunately.
