Problems with menu – the old items are not removed before import

  • After an import into WP 4.9.10, I have all menu items twice. I believe the old items were not removed before importing the new one.

  • I think that is how it works. One of many annoyances that makes this old importer a little flakey …

    To perform a clean import delete all the old content (pages and posts, projects etc) and also purge the trash and delete the old menu.
