Is there a plugin to serve different dimension images ?

Hi there
I’m optimizing a wordpress site and the theme does not automatically serve different dimension images depending on the device’s screen size.
Is there a plugin that will either create and include the correctly dimensioned image depending on the device screen, or that will insert the srcset attributes into the HTML so that the browser can choose the correct image ?
I have searched on the forum but can’t find anything
