subpage paths to uploaded images different than homepage
-
Hi,
I’m having trouble with the paths to my ‘uploads’ folder from all of my subpages. I’ve searched the forums for several hours, referred to my books and googled with no luck. I’m sure this is a setting on my end, but I can’t figure it out.Images I’ve uploaded through the admin panel link fine on my homepage. The image paths look like this ‘https://localhost/cedarburgsquare/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/image.jpg’
Problem is, none of my subpages are linking correctly to that ‘uploads’ folder. The subpage images that are linked to the ‘uploads’ folder look like this:
‘https://localhost/cedarburgsquare/subpage name/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/image.jpg’For some reason the additional directory level called ‘subpage name’ in the above link is added. So when my subpages try to call the sidebar text widget images, nothing shows. And when I try to access an image I uploaded and placed in the content area, they don’t show up either. They are trying to find a directory that does not exist.
But all other images contained on the subpages link directly to the images folder without the mysterious additional directory level added to the code.
All subpages get their own directory added to the link structure for some reason. All pages of the site are on the same directory level. They all access the images folder just fine, but not the ‘uploads’ folder. What am I doing wrong? I’ve looked in the admin panel for some sort of setting, but no luck.
Can someone please let me know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
