    Very new to word press.
    Is there a way to put some text on the home page that will always show up above the posts?

  • No need to post twice.

    Do you want it above EVERY post or above the posts.

    just add the text in your index.php file of your theme.

    Sorry about the double post, it had an error as I posted and I could not find a delete button.

    Yes I want it to show up above Every post as it needs to say what the site is for.

    Go ahead and paste your index.php contents in here, and I will fill in where you should add the text and reply with the coding.

    (Be sure to place the contents inside of a coding box. You do this by pressing the “code” button from the formatting toolbar above.)
