    if I make a website into a private members only site, does PB also deny access to google crawlers and other search bots and crawlers? Otherwise there is no use in restricting anything to specific roles or similar

    Yes, where humans can’t go, web crawlers shouldn’t be able to go either.

    But please know that if at first the page is unrestricted, and then you restrict it later, perhaps the crawler has already been there.

    Thank you for the answer. That crawler issue went down the drain a long time ago. Before I took over the webmaster slot.

    But this is good info for future projects.
