Can’t select database – local installation
-
I’m using WAMPSERVER as a local server (never done this before), and I’ve been having a few problems.
I’ve created a database, wordpress_test, through the sqlitemanager, but I’m getting the following error message:
“
We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the wordpress_test database.* Are you sure it exists?
* Does the user have permission to use the wordpress_test database?
* On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_wordpress_test. Could that be the problem?
“I wasn’t given the option of creating a user name and password when I created the database, so they’re both blank at the moment.
I’ve tried changing username and password, adding the username to the database, putting the full path in the database name,… but no luck.
Any ideas? I’m sure it’s a really simple mistake…
