And is there a specific reason why linking to two show-cases of the plugin in use isn’t allowed? Use-cases certainly helped me decide with several plugins.

I can understand if its done excessively as a promotional mapractice or linking to malicious content, but for a showcasing how we implemented the plugin and how well it works? I dont get it.

Spammers have ruined it for everyone else, so please don’t add showcasing links. Just review the plugin.
