    Hey,

we use beneath other, the Yoast SEO Plugin and the Events Manager Free Plugin.

If I add a new Event everything works fine and how I expect.

But I found out, if I add a Meta Description in the SEO Plugin the Event Header (date/time/location and stuff) just disappears. If I delete the Meta Description the Header reappears.

Are you interested to patch this conflict out?

    Best Regards,
    The Sommerschein-Team

  • Hi,
    EM User here too.

First of all, your site gives an error “jQuery is undefined”. That means you are loading scripts before jQuery is loaded, so your script(s) are missing the correct dependency.

Also, have you tried a different theme? I had a problem that if I deactivated Yoast, my complete content was gone. That turned out to be a theme issue.

Looking at your source code, everything is pushed into the content. That is not the way a theme should work. For example, ALL your jQuery scripts and stylesheets are echoed in full. Please try it with a default WP theme, such as Twentytwelve.

    Hello,

Could you perhaps send us a screenshot or 2 event links that We could compare? What header for date/time/location are you referring also?

    Hey guys,

I’m not that deep into web development, so please be forgiving, if I do’in idiotic failures. ;D

@duisterdenhaag Now I’ve tried different default themes in live preview, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference … Can it make a difference, that I only the live preview instead of fully activate the theme?

    @timrv
    Of course,

the first one, without yoast meta description:
    https://sommerschein.de/Event-without-yoast-meta-desc.png

the second one, with yoast meta description:
    https://sommerschein.de/Event-with-yoast-meta-desc.png

And like I already said: If I delete the meta description from the second one, the header reappeares …

P.S.: That are the two events, which are linked on the homepage, if you like to take a look yourself. ??

Yes, a preview is never my end result as well. ??
Please try it by fully activating the Twentytwelve theme.
