• The codes for the next and previous links are missing! I tried changing the template, but it’s the same.

There are about 10 posts on my blog, and I set it to show only two at a time at Settings>Reading.

I’m not sure when it started showing this problem, but I only noticed it now. I think it may have something to do with WP 2.8 upgrade?

I also noticed that there are only two results on the Recent Posts page when I’m viewing the home page. When I try to view a post from the Edit Posts panel, the Recent Posts only displays that post!

I already tried changing themes from the current to wordpress’ default theme but it’s still getting the same problem.

    How to fix this? Thanks

  • Can you please link to your WordPress blog so we can see? ??

You said you have your blog set to show two posts at a time when reading and so this is why there are only two results shown on the home page.

Additionally, can you clarify what you mean by ‘view a post from the Edit Posts’ panel? Are you in your Admin panel or is this a feature of the theme itself?

    –my site is: https://www.workfromhomephilippines.com

“You said you have your blog set to show two posts at a time when reading and so this is why there are only two results shown on the home page.”
–my mistake, i meant there are only two posts appearing on the Recent Posts Widget.

“Additionally, can you clarify what you mean by ‘view a post from the Edit Posts’ panel? Are you in your Admin panel or is this a feature of the theme itself? “
–It’s from the Admin Panel, I click on Posts> then when I try to view one post, the “Recent Post” widget only shows that single post instead of showing the most recent.

I tried changing the theme to the default Classic and Garland, still the same problem.

    Thanks,
    Oliver

    Thanks,

It seems that the next and previous post links are missing, and you will need to add them. Just refer the article provided by Shane and add the link into your index.php file.

Thanks for all the help! I found the solution. When installing the theme again didn’t work, I tried deactivating all the plugins.

    Solution
I hunted it down and found that the Adhesive (sticky post) plugin was responsible for the problem.

Hope this solution will help other members having a similar problem.
