Apply CSS on category hover only

Hello nK and thank you for the cool plugin! I built a portfolio page which shows the projects of the standard Divi Theme Projects folder (which acts like a usual custom post type).

I want individual logos to show up on the images for each category on hover. The way it is now (see blue underlined CSS), the same logo (logos_17.png) shows on hover for each image.

Is there a way I can address individual CSS to the different categories (red underlined)? Unfortunately Virtual Portfolio does not create more than the data-vp-filter=”category”, which I don’t know how to address with CSS.
