I followed the quick-start directions, repeatedly, and yet no new font appears on my page. I assume I’ve missed something in the process. Do I need a different app or code to actually use the fonts once installed?

I tried both with and without Autoptimize, and did check off the “remove Google fonts” box in that plugin. Cleared the cache of both the page and the browser repeatedly.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Well, the explanation is pretty simple:

Your site’s stylesheet uses two fonts:
    – Noto Serif SC
    – Playfair Display

The font you’ve downloaded using CAOS for Webfonts is:
    – Permanent Marker

So, either change your site’s stylesheet to use Permanent Marker, or download Noto Serif SC and Playfair Display using CAOS for Webfonts and re-generate CAOS’ stylesheet.

Got it. The last couple of font plugins that I had used, they automatically changed the stylesheet. Now I know this one needs that extra step. Thanks!

Other plugins add inline styles to overwrite your stylesheet. It’s a hacky solution IMO. That’s why I think it’s better to DIY.
