• Hi,

I use the FAQ shortcode on the front page inside a custom html widget. The shortcode is [faqs style=”toggle” filter=”featured”].

The click toggle is not available. The FAQs default to open and can’t toggle.

I use the shortcode on an internal page and it works as expected.

On investigation I see that the FAQS css and js files are not being loaded on the front page, but they are being loaded as expected on the interior pages.

I am not running any caching plugins. Core and the plugin are up to date. I have tried using single quotes and changing the shortcode to use your filtered-toggle parameter without any change.

    Ideas?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Matt,

Sorry for the inconvenience this problem may have caused but when I just checked your website I see no issues at all and everything is working well as you can see in this screencast: https://jmp.sh/JUg6ijm

Please let me know if you are still having any issues in this regard.

    Thank you,

    Usman

Sorry. Something must have happened when I posted the link. The FAQs page
is working fine. It’s the FAQ on the front page that is the problem.

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi Matt,

That is exactly my point in my last reply. The FAQ page on the frontend of your website is also working fine and I am able to toggle the FAQs and see their details.

Please let me know if you want me to create another video for you.

    Thanks,

    Usman

    Hi,

Yes, please create a video of the FAQ accordion working on the front page of the website.

Neither me, my client, or a variety of others have been able to get it to work.

I am using the FAQ shortcode in a custom HTML widget that is displayed on the front page of the website.

    Hi Matt,

Please check this video once again: https://jmp.sh/JUg6ijm which I created. I demonstrated that the FAQs are working fine on your website.

    Thanks,

    Usman

    Hi Usman,

Again, the video is showing the FAQs on the page /faqs/. There is nothing wrong with the operation of the FAQs on that page.

The problem is on the front page of the website. The front page of the website is having the problem.

Please look at the FRONT PAGE.

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi Matt,

Sorry, my bad. I understand it now that you are referring to the home page of your website. Please tell me which shortcode exactly did you use to put them on the home page as you are adding them using a text widget?

    Thanks,

    Usman

    Hi,

The shortcode I am using is [faqs style=”toggle” filter=”featured”]. I am inserting this into a Custom HTML widget. I get the same results if I use a text widget.

    Hi,

Its been a couple of weeks.

Any thoughts on how I might resolve this?

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi Matt,

I had a similar issue on my normal faq page. When I removed the quotes from the shortcode, it worked.

As an addition, if I use the ” when I add a block in Gutenberg, the quotes are accepted. If I use it in shortcode, it wasn’t. For some unclear reason I can’t reproduce the error on my side now.

Has anyone found a solution to the toggle not working on the home page

    Hi @rynonet,

I have tested your issue but unable to replicate it at my end. I can’t help you without checking it on the admin side.

So, if you need to fix it at your installation, please send your admin credentials at [email protected]

    I’ll look into it.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi @jacqi12,

Please share your website URL where you are facing this issue.

    Thanks
