Error when trying to use this plugin

    Hello…

    This is the plugin that I’ve been looking for to enhance Buddypress outdated messaging system, but every time I have attempted to send an email it throws the following error:

    There was an error sending that Private Message. Please make sure you fill out both fields.

    Can you provide me with a fix for it? your help is greatly appreciated.

    We cannot duplicate this issue.
    That error is quite generic and therefore difficult to diagnose.

    If you deactivate this plugin, can you send private messages ?

    If you reactivate this plugin and switch momentarily to a WP theme like 2019, can you send private messages ?

    Hello…

    Thanks for the quick reply….this is the plugin that I’ve been searching for to bypass have to fill out the user name when I send private messages….when I deactivate the plugin the messaging system goes back to normal with no error…I can send private messages normally ….the reason I used this plugin was I was looking for a way to adjust or better remove the “send to” box in Compose area in private messages, the length is very long and it doesn’t populate the users inside the box, instead the user names are populated above the send to box and it’s very confusing…

    That sounds like a issue between your theme and BuddyPress.

    Did you try switching themes as we suggested?

    It’s not my theme….I use News Paper the most developer friendly theme there is….so it’s not the theme…

    Did you confirm that by momentarily switching the theme?
    Or are you just making an assumption?

    You could also try switching the Template Pack in the BP settings in wp-admin.

    Our suggestions are meant to help you narrow down the source of the issue.

    Hello…

    I switched to the default theme Twenty Seventeen, and the plugin didn’t work at all, when I clicked on the private message button in the user profile it didn’t do anything.

    Does the subject field have a character length requirement? I’ve tested it all sorts of ways, I am really bombed that the plugin doesn’t work because It’s the perfect solution to what I have been shearing for.

    I switched back to my News Paper theme and it goes through the motion as if it’s going to work and then it throws that error:

    The subject field does not have a character length requirement, afaik.
