    Ive gone from 73 to 63. Clearly I’m doing something wrong as everyone else seems to have great results.

    I download the fonts (latin I assume) generate stylesheet, clear cache.. and get a lower score. Set preload on, and score goes down even more. Font display changed to fallback after reading another post on here, and it goes down yet again :/

    GTMetrix reduced from 100 to 98 as well. Confused.

    It’s probably cause you didn’t remove the original requests. Try following this tutorial: https://daan.dev/wordpress/host-google-fonts-locally/

    In a future release I’ll implement a feature to remove the original requests on the fly.

    My bad. Even though I followed your guide, you are correct. My way of removing the original requests didnt work. Its not so easy without Autoptimize and I use WP Rocket so…

    For now, I’ll have to wait for a future release. Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated.

    fyi: you can combine WP Rocket & Autoptimize (we get along great), just disable minification in WPR to let AO take that over and you’re good to go ??
