• Hello, I’m having a login issue with my WordPress. From what I have read, a plugin has caused the site to crash and I can’t access the admin dashboard or the site itself at the moment. I have tried to use Filezilla to do an FTP to gain access to the site, but I receive an ‘ECONNREFUSED – Connection refused by server’ error. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. Thank you.

The blog I need help with is complianceandethics.org.

  • We’ve been working on this scenario, and this post was just published:

Fatal Error Recovery Mode in 5.2

For now, however, you can use your host control panel’s File Manager to rename or delete the offending plugin’s folder so you can log in to the admin. If you don’t know which plugin, look for the error log first.

Thank you for your responses. Joy, is it possible to access the panel’s File Manager without having access to the admin dashboard? Lisa, thank you for your insight as well. I will reach out to them and see what they can do.

The host control panel (often called cPanel) is totally separate from WordPress.
