I migrated my WordPress website build with Elementor plugin from one hosting to another. Then I made my domain redirection to the server where the site was migrated.

Website works fine but the problem is when I try to edit it:

When i am creating new page in wordpress I can edit it with Elementor normally. But when i am trying to edit existing page (page created on another hosting some months ago) there is no chance to save it – the saving process is over and over in progress. The same situation is when I made a new page and try to add some template from the older site – the saving process doesn’t end.

Now in dev console I see the 400 bad request admin-ajax error.

Could You tell me how can i fix it?

  • I just helped someone with something similar to this the other day. There is a bug in Elementor. You will need to use a plugin to do a find replace in the db and then there will likely still be an issue with some of the pages not loading correctly so you will need to go page by page and change the urls manually.

Here is a plugin that should help you do the find replace

Hope this helps. Once you find a solution you are happy with please tag the thread as resolved.
