Amazon Custom & Reccomendation Ads Won’t Show

    Hello there and thank you in advance for your ideas on this. I am trying to integrate Amazon Custom or Recommendation ads into my blog posts but when I include the code they do not show up on preview or live view. When I use the amazon stripe and place in individual products or use affiliate hyperlinking it works but I cannot get these multiple item ads to run. I have installed Ad inserter but honestly reading about it made my head spin and I wasn’t sure I even needed to do that. Thank you thank you!

  • You should ask at Amazon, or whatever plugin you are using support forum.
    This is not about WordPress.

    Hi Joy. Unfortunately when I did ask Amazon they suggested that this was an issue with WordPress which is why I am here.

    Well, WordPress has nothing to do with any of that. So if you are using a plugin to help you with it, then ask at the plugin’s support forum.
    Seriously, it’s not WordPress itself, which is what this forum is for.

    I am not even as advanced as you are supposing. Do I need a plugin to use javascript linking on wordpress? I am new to this platform.

    I don’t understand the question.
    WordPress is the software that provides the basics for storing content in the database, and retrieving it for each page request. The theme does the actual output. Plugins add additional functionality to both core WordPress and to the theme or other plugins.
    So if your question is about core WordPress, it goes in these general forums. If it concerns a theme, it goes in the theme’s support forum. If it is about a plugin, it goes in the plugin’s support forum.

    Core WordPress has nothing to do with Amazon or with ads or with dynamically linking to them.

    Okay I think I understand about 60 percent of what you’re saying. I need to recategorize my question into a different thred. Somewhere when I was signing up for the form it said “don’t worry if you post in the wrong place you can re-classify it” so that is what I need to do next. I didn’t make my theme. My web designer did so I don’t know the functionality of if it can accommodate what I am trying to do. As far as I knew if I switched to “the advanced blog” I would be able to use Amazon Affiliate ads. I will try and figure out how to get this into another category.

    I am writing to you because I would like to ask you to help me with: Amazon Custom & Recommendation Ads Won’t Show.

    I believe that those ads don’t show because of yllix add code, which was pasted manually in header.php. After the theme update, that code disappeared and can’t be found anymore. Before insertion of that code, all ads worked fine. I’d like to remove that ad.
