• I’m curious if everyone uses all 4 footers in the Appearance > Widgets section or less than 4 footers. Do you use all 4 footer widgets and what do you put in them? And do they go in columns? I mean if you use 3 instead of 4 will they fill the space for the missing 4th footer? Or do you use Elementor to create a custom footer?

  • Hello,

See the demo site with 4 footer – https://shoes.oceanwp.org/
You can add contents as per your need in the footer columns.

If you will use 2 or 3 footer column, then it will automatically fill the space. You can also create a custom footer template under Theme Panel > My Library using Elementor.

I did create a custom footer, but I’m not the best with web design so I want to go with the common widgets. When I have a better feel for what I want, then I’ll create a better custom one.

I don’t understand the components of the footer section of the link. It looks like there are 4 footers, all links for the 1st three (left to right). The one to the far right is contact info and social media links. Is that correct? But it’s confusing – are the icons and the all caps text above also part of the footer?

Yes, there are four columns in the footer.
1st column – Custom Links widget
2nd column – custom links widget
3rd column – custom link widget
4rth column – Contact info and social links widget

The 4 icons + text are not part of the footer. it is ‘callout’ template made with Elementor.

Got it. I think I’m going to delete my custom “boring” footer and mess around with different widgets in 3 or 4 of the footers – thanks!

Sure, let me know if you will have any issue with it.
