Zambian Currency

Hope you are well today and thank you for your response. To try and answer your questions, could you please assist with the following:

The currency conversion to USD, is this done on the PesaPal checkout page (the iframe)?
Have you set up your PesaPal IPN as per the instructions in the gateway?
Are you using live or sandbox mode? Sandbox wont update IPN calls

For the Zambia Kwacha, the payment gateway will use your stores currency and this will be sent to PesaPal for processing.

First and foremost i would like to say i am extremely impressed and thankful for such an immediate response to my query.

The currency conversion to USD is done on the Pesapal checkout page yes.

IPN Settings: so my site for example is https://www.buy.com I set that in the pesapal Account settings with the listening URL as settings https://www.buy.com?wc-api=WC_TheBunchKE_PesaPal_Pay_Gateway.

I should think I’m live as i’m not using the Demo mode although my Pesapal Acccount isnt completely activated yet.

Is there a better solution to ensuring my clients are billed in Zambian Kwacha without the small .13 etc amounts that are added to the prices im advertising. I dont think people will be happy if i say something is 50 kwacha and they pay 50.42 etc

Thank you for the clarification and you are most welcome, I believe quick and adequate responses makes things move faster in our society ??
To answer your question, yes, the IPN url is correct though there have been some issues with PesaPal on sending back IPN responses. On the conversion rate it would be best to ask PesaPal on this, as I do not know what rates they use against.
Are there any other online payment providers available in Zambia that perhaps I could develop for you to work with WooCommerce? Is there a specific reason you opted to use PesaPal?

I think i may have to communicate with them, in regards to other providers no we are very limited with choice here. So when i found the service online I was hoping that at least having a service that supports our currency would be a very good choice. PayPal and the like don’t support Zambian payments so that was my reasoning.

Thanks for your feedback. I have seen there is https://www.directpay.online/online-payments-zambia/ but Im not sure they have an API. PesaPal can be slow to respond, even local Kenyans find them frustrating to use. I am currently trying to work on a unified system (hosted and self-hosted) to help people try manage issues with PesaPal and the IPN urls.

Fantastic I managed to get a hold of them and have a meeting set up for tomorrow morning! They said they have an API but i will find out all the details about them tomorrow. I think that Idea for the IPN issues will be extremely helpful. Thank you so much Paul you are a Life saver!
