• Can you schedule Gigpress shows in advance?
It is a very scenario these days for an artist but can’t seem to find any reference to how you’d do this.

Example – An artist announces a tour at 9am on Friday 10th December, and obviously can’t input 100 tour dates to be announced at exactly 9am. There must be a way to set up all of the dates in advance and schedule them to go ‘live’ at 9am?

  • I’m new to GigPress, but isn’t this where the related post function would be really useful?

Add all the dates, and embed those in the post. Then you schedule the POST, not the dates to auto-publish???

Unfortunately, related posts are setup to publish immediately or on the show date itself. Which is pointless in terms of scheduling date announcements in advance.

Seems like such a simple concept that every artist I’ve ever worked with needs.
Announce a tour in advance at a specific time.

I agree it would make a cool feature..

Only automatic related posts are published though, you can add a manual one? All my events are linked to custom post types and manually selected.

So I *think*, what I’d do, is use the tour function, to create the upcoming gigs. And then embed that tour only feed in a post, and schedule THAT post???

If we have to add manual posts just to schedule them, we probably don’t need Gigpress at all. I think the best option then would be to just set up a custom post type for events.
